Search results for Best YA Books- Popular. Young Adult Novels by R.W.K. Clark
Young adult fiction or YA books are catered towards readers from 12 to 18 years of age. While the genre is targeted to teenagers, approximately half of YA readers are adults. In recent years, diversity has become a defining feature of young adult novels.
It’s not a completely bizarre thing to suggest that teen books should feature teenage characters. YA authors write about teens that talk to teens, and by embracing their problems. The heroes of YA novels primarily discover how they fit in the world beyond their friends and family; they spend more time reflecting on what happens and analyzing the meaning of things.
But while YA authors cover just about anything in their coming of age books, keep in mind that grotesque sex, foul language or violence won’t fly in any great literature. These good YA books are free of the vulgarities, so schools and library support can really catapult these YA titles to success.
