A Zany Coming-of-Age Story with Bite: Mavis’s new life is a constant struggle to balance her cravings with her morals, leading to a series of off-the-beaten-path and often comical situations. As she navigates the perils of high school drama, friendships, and a budding romance with her boyfriend, she must find creative ways to keep her new secret from her family and friends. This is a story that asks a new kind of “what if” question: what if a zombie could still think and choose to do right?

Good Versus Evil, from a Zombie’s Point of View: The laughs and lightheartedness take a serious turn with the arrival of Shanice Hall, a ruthless and evil zombie who is Mavis’s former classmate. Shanice is bent on terrorizing the town and destroying Mavis’s life, forcing our reluctant heroine to face a true battle between good and evil.

Genuinely have no idea what happened for most of this book… not to mention it felt like there was no real resolution for any of the plot points?

I love this teen zombie in this ya book. She’s just your average teenage girl, except for the fact that she’s undead. And I think that’s what I enjoy most about her. She’s not some brooding, romantic vampire or a hairy werewolf. She’s just a regular kid who happens to be dead. But even though she’s dead, she still feels things. She’s still capable of love and friendship and all the other emotions that make us human. In a way, I think she’s more human than some of the living characters in this book. And I think that’s why I love her so much.

If you love zombies and young adult fiction, then you’ll love this new book! It’s the story of a teenage girl who is turned into a zombie. She is a strong and determined young woman, and I loved reading about her struggles to stay alive. The author did a great job of creating a tense and suspenseful atmosphere, and I couldn’t put the book down! If you’re looking for a new zombie novel to sink your teeth into, then I highly recommend this one.
